The Challenge
33 RPM Records, a Berlin-based vinyl record store, had no online presence, limiting their ability to reach collectors beyond their physical location and showcase their unique inventory.
The Solution
I designed a responsive website that brings the tactile, crate-digging experience online, allowing users to browse curated collections, learn about upcoming arrivals, and connect with the store's authentic vinyl culture from anywhere.
My Role
Responsive Web Design, UX/UI, Brand Identity
Redesign Concept
Crate-digging aesthetic giving the feeling of digging through records in the actual store.
A tiled carousel on the homepage conveying a sense of chaos customers experience in the physical store.
Beautiful record covers highlighting album artwork as an integral part of the record buying experience.
Recommendations as a product category, since hand-picked recommendations by the owner are beloved by local customers.
UI Style Decisions
Neon pink as the accent color, providing strong contrast with the colors of the record covers.
Black and white for the rest of the color palette, allowing the tilted album covers to stand out in comparison.
A typeface with a punk rock and hand-stamped aesthetic for the "33 RPM Records" logo.
Their logo of a rainbow placed on top of the search bar, adding a non-conventional feel to the website, while still enabling customers to search for records online.
